Isabelle Gagn\u00e9, Mirabel (Mirabel, Qu\u00e9bec) \u2013 phase 2<\/h4><\/div>Isabelle Gagn\u00e9\u2019s creation residency began during the 8th edition of Rencontres by way of the deployment of the stratotype.ca<\/a> platform and its Web robot [Bot] Stratotype digital\u2014ien<\/em>, which recomposes in random fashion pictures of the Qu\u00e9bec landscape collected from ordinary people. This autonomous bot randomly recomposes pictures of the Qu\u00e9bec landscape. Its function is to transform photos, either taken by myself or collected from ordinary people in the course of one year. The images thus modified will create unusual visual occurrences of the Qu\u00e9bec region on the Web and on search engines, and will generate a new layer of digital data until now non-existent on the Web. The gathering of photos will stretch over a year and will finish in May 2018 during the second phase of the artist\u2019s residency in the Gasp\u00e9, after which the project will be the subject of an exhibit at Rencontres in the summer of 2018.<\/p>\nPresented in association with TOPO \u2013 Laboratory for Digital Writings<\/p>\n
